TGBC-171At Tulip Grove we seek to provide a balanced teaching diet of Bible, Doctrine, and Application so that we may grow up in Christ-like maturity and be equipped for Gospel-ministry in every sphere of life. Through our Spiritual Growth Institute we offer a range of classes in Bible, Doctrine, Spiritual Disciplines, and the Christian Life. In this way, we want to help every member grow in the truth, love, and joy of Christ.

 

 


Fall Classes:

  • Basic Bible (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 PM): 
    • Teacher - Will Lundy
    • Dates: August 7th – September 25th (8 - Weeks)
    • Room 300
    • This class is designed for people who may be new to Christianity or who have a limited knowledge of the Scriptures. It will provide a basic overview of the Bible, including the background, major themes, and basic content, of each book. This isn't so much the Bible from 30,000 feet as it is the Bible from the moon with a pair of binoculars!
    • The book for this class is your Bible & you will receive handouts each week. 
  • Systematic Theology II (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 PM):
    • Teacher - Scott Gables
    • Dates - August 7th  – December 18th (18 - Weeks)
    • Room 304
    • This class seeks to explore the doctrine of God. Students will learn a systematic understanding of who God is, and what He is like. Using Scripture as our sole authority, we will seek to answer questions like: How is God different from us? How can God be three persons, yet one God? And how much of life does God control?
    • The book for this study is $30 and may be purchased in the library.
  • Basic Doctrine (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 PM):

    • Dates - October 16th - December 11th (8 - Weeks)

    • An eight-week overview of the core teachings of Christianity: Scripture, God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, Man, Sin, Salvation, the Church, and Last Things. 
  • NT Survey II – Acts & Paul's Letters (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 PM)
    • Teacher - Chase Sears
    • Dates - October 16th - December 11th (8 - Weeks)
    • Room 100
    • This class seeks to introduce students to the New Testament and provide a survey of Acts and the Pauline Epistles so that you may gain a basic grasp of the theology of each of these books. Students will gain a basic grasp of each book’s content, message, and context seeing how all God’s covenant promises find their fulfillment in Christ.

  • Planted a study on Spiritual Disciplines for Women (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 PM)

    • Planted: A Bible Study on Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian faith. The study is based on Psalm 1:3. The life of a believer goes through seasons. Some are for planting, some for watering, some for pruning, and some for growing. In every season, we can be rooted deeply in the Lord. We pray it encourages women in all seasons and stages of life and points us to Jesus through the disciplines He modeled for us in His own life.

  • Abide 1, 2, & 3 John by Jen Wilkin for Women (Thursday 6:30-8:00 PM)

    • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. - 1 John 2:24  In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3 John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth. We will meet on Thursdays at 6:30-8:00 August 8-October 10.

  • Gospel-Centered Parenting (Sunday 9:00 - 10:00 AM) - Please Register here.

    • Dates - September 8th – October 13th (6 - Weeks)

    • This 6-Week class aims to help equip parents to understand God’s calling on their lives so that they may shepherd their child’s heart to find everlasting life in Jesus Christ. We’ll examine the basic principles of parenting as presented in the Scripture and explore practical ways of applying these principles during each stage of life. We’ll conclude the class by giving special attention to the unique challenges of parenting in the current age and how we should think biblically about technology, social media, and human sexuality.
